Children enter into daycares across the country and in many cases, they are just anonymous faces in the crowd. There are times, however, when the daycare system wants to learn more about the children so they sent home some homework.
That was what one father experienced when his 11-month-old daughter went into daycare. A questionnaire “All about Me” was sent home and he decided he would have a little fun with it rather than just sending it back.
There were a number of prompts on the paper and parents were supposed to fill in those prompts to help teach the daycare about the children. They included things such as “My goals are…” and “My strengths are…”
If you really stop to think about it, most 11-month-old babies don’t have any goals or strengths to talk about. That is when he decided to have a little fun with the daycare and to fill it out in a humorous way.
For example, the goals were to open every drawer everywhere, to walk, and the interest were to explore parents noses with fingers.
We live in a world where very few people have a sense of humor. Unfortunately, this is something that is lost but when we do see someone with a good sense of humor, it really warms our hearts.
I’m sure that you will appreciate what this father did and it may even inspire you to do great things as well.
