When it comes to swimming, most of us would readily say that it is important to kick your legs and move your arms in order to propel yourself through the water. That may be true for most people, but there are some swimmers who don’t have all of the advantages of others.
At the World Para Swimming Championships, there are some excellent athletes who may not have all of the parts that we may have, but they are still very skilled in what they do. Every person in the competition does what they can to work hard and get the job done.
One of the individuals who competed in a recent World Para Swimming Championships is Guo Jincheng. I would say that most people would have a difficult time keeping up with him in the water and this is incredible, because he doesn’t have in the arms.
Not only was he fast without arms, he was able to compete in a freestyle competition and we weren’t sure who was going to win but in the end, he came out on top.
He was able to get the first space slot, which was his ultimate goal, and he also gave us quite a performance in the meantime. Watching him glide through the water is something that makes us realize that anybody can take their life to a higher level.
After getting out of the pool, it was recognized that the armless swimmer had set a world record. You can see it for yourself in this video:
