A Life Shared Online

Brielle “Brie” Bird, known as @briestrongerthancancer, has died after a five-year battle with recurring neuroblastoma.

The 9-year-old and her family shared her journey publicly.

Brie died on Thursday, Dec. 11, her family announced on Instagram.

Family’s Tribute

“You are the miracle! Your purpose on earth was fulfilled, and it was the most sacred privilege to escort you home,” her family wrote.

They added they will “never stop” sharing her story and thanked her for inspiring so many.

Her Health Journey

Brie was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma in 2020, later declared cancer-free, before the disease returned in January 2024.

She entered hospice in July 2025. Her mother recalled Brie asking, “Is it okay if I say no this time? I just want to be home.”

Love in Her Final Days

In August, Brie received a surprise gift from Ariana Grande.

“I’ve seen your videos and I think you are the most amazing, most inspiring little light beam in this universe,” Grande said.
