Country music star Hillary Scott, one-third of the Grammy-winning group Lady A, has even more to sing about these days — the arrival of her fourth daughter! Hillary and her husband, Chris Tyrrell, have officially welcomed a new baby girl into their family: Selah Jean, born on Friday, July 25, 2025. A representative for the couple confirmed the joyful news exclusively to PEOPLE. The proud parents couldn’t wait to share the happiness with fans. “We are absolutely overjoyed to introduce you to Selah Jean!” they announced in a joint statement.

“She was born on July 25th, and she has already brought so much love and light into our lives. From the moment she arrived, it felt like a piece of our hearts we didn’t know was missing had been found.” Hillary and Chris also revealed the meaning behind their daughter’s beautiful name. Selah is a word with deep spiritual roots, found in the Bible, often interpreted to mean “pause and reflect.” Her middle name, Jean, means “God is gracious.” Together, the name carries a powerful message of faith, peace, and gratitude — values that the couple holds close to their hearts. “In just a few days, we already see how deeply Selah embodies those words,” they shared. “She brings calm, joy, and wonder into our home. She truly feels like a miracle — like Christmas came early this year.”

A Joyful House Full of Girls
With Selah’s arrival, Hillary and Chris are now proud parents to four daughters. Their firstborn, Eisele Kaye, is 12 years old, and their twins, Emory JoAnn and Betsy Mack, are now 7. Their family, affectionately referred to by Hillary as a “household of little ladies,” is filled with energy, laughter, and an unmistakable sisterly bond. “Watching Eisele, Emory, and Betsy step into their new roles as big sisters again has been incredibly heartwarming,” Hillary said. “They are so attentive, nurturing, and excited. Selah is already surrounded by so much love.”

Hillary first shared her pregnancy news publicly back in February, in a heartfelt Instagram post that quickly warmed fans’ hearts. The photo was simple and intimate — her daughters’ wrists decorated with handmade friendship bracelets spelling out the words “big sister,” placed beside a maternity storage bin that read: “Maternity.” In the caption, she wrote:
“Chris, Eisele, Emory, Betsy, and I are overjoyed to share that this summer, our family will be made complete with one more precious little girl joining us. I’m dusting off that maternity bin from the storage room one more time.”

She also paid tribute to her husband, calling him “the absolute BEST girl dad,” and expressed her deep gratitude for their growing family:
“We are thankful that God has entrusted us with a household full of girls. Each one of them is a gift.”

A Story of Faith, Loss, and Gratitude
Hillary and Chris have never shied away from sharing the real and raw moments of their family journey. In 2015, the couple experienced a devastating miscarriage — a loss that left a permanent mark on their hearts. Hillary has spoken openly about how that heartbreak reshaped her understanding of motherhood, faith, and healing. In the years that followed, their family continued to grow, and so did their gratitude. When they welcomed their twin daughters in 2018, Hillary shared another emotional announcement with fans: “Our family is proud and so thankful to share that our precious baby girls arrived safely,” she wrote. “They were born in the early morning hours of January 29, 2018. Thank you, Lord, for healthy babies.” Those moments — both joyful and painful — have become part of the Scott-Tyrrell family’s testimony: one grounded in resilience, love, and unwavering belief in God’s timing.

“Christmas in July”: A Season of Joy
Now, seven years after the birth of their twins, the family is stepping into a brand new season with open arms and open hearts. Hillary describes their home as one filled with music, laughter, and a healthy dose of chaos — a beautiful reflection of life with four daughters. Despite the busy nature of parenting, touring, and working in the music industry, Hillary is soaking in the little moments. Whether it’s lullabies, late-night feedings, or the sight of her older daughters bonding with their baby sister, she says this chapter feels like a divine gift.

“She truly feels like the most priceless blessing,” Hillary and Chris said. “It really does feel like Christmas in July — something magical, unexpected, and full of light.” As they adjust to life as a family of six, Hillary and Chris remain grounded in their values of faith, family, and love — embracing the journey with open hearts and giving thanks every step of the way.
