The Arrow Hotel in Broken Bow boasts about the “historic charm,” they offer, and it’s indeed a lovely little hotel with a historic look, gorgeous copper tile ceiling, meeting facilities, breakfast buffet and, reportedly, a handful of ghosts. I typically require a few things of the hotels in which I stay. They must have a fitness center, Wi-Fi, and an utter lack of paranormal activity. So though The Arrow Hotel looks perfectly charming, there have simply been too many ghost sightings for my liking to book a stay. Would you stay at this haunted hotel in Nebraska?
Like any respectable hotel, The Arrow Hotel offers a fitness center for guests. But can you imagine fighting the urge to look over your shoulder the entire time to see if someone – or something – is watching you as you jog the treadmill or lift weights?
Luckily, reports don’t mention any ghost sightings in the fitness room. You’ll have to visit the stairs to the kitchen to have the most luck in catching a glimpse of a spirit, according to witnesses.
The Arrow Hotel makes no public claims to be haunted, but it does make claims of having the best steak in town. It also boasts about its breakfast buffet.
The reports of hauntings at Arrow Hotel come from guests who have stayed there and mainly mention hearing noises at commotion at night.
Originally built in 1928, The Arrow Hotel has gone through a variety of iterations and renovations. The hotel spent some time as apartments before everyone decided it was better off as a hotel.
But it was returned to its original state as a hotel in 2005, which is the same year the owners switched up the look of the hotel to harken back to its original state.

Guests don’t just report hearing things at this hotel – they actually report seeing things too.
Specifically, a red-haired woman can be seen wandering the halls. There are also reports of the ghost of a former owner who just isn’t quite ready to vacate, apparently.
While there aren’t any reports of ghosts infiltrating guest rooms, there are plenty of reports of guests being awakened by strange noises from the hallway.
Personally, I prefer my hotel stays to be devoid of the afterlife, but if that’s you’re kind of thing, I dare you to stay the night in this notoriously haunted hotel in Nebraska!
